Petrina Johnson is a mother, author, community worker and entrepreneur.
She lives in the Dallas area with her beautiful daughter, Jacelyn Miles and was born in Los Angeles to Walter Lee Johnson and Larose Johnson.
The single mother is the last of four children from the couple. After her parents separated, her father moved the children to Marshall, Texas. Petrina was only twelve months old.
Growing up in a small town, Petrina knew relocating to a larger city would lead to more opportunities.
She moved to Atlanta, Georgia after a few years of graduating high school. After attending Georgia State University, she graduated with a degree in journalism.
In 2008 she started a spiritual based magazine, The Jace Magazine. Petrina named the publication after her daughter Jacelyn Miles.
After starting the magazine, she needed more knowledge on operating a business. She decided to go back to school to the University of Phoenix, in 2011 and graduated with a M.B/A. in 2012.
With a passion for helping the community, her education level was not enough. She turned the magazine business to a nonprofit organization in 2014.
Her mission was to not only tell people about Jesus but show them the love of Christ through actions.
