The new year is approaching and many prophets are speaking about the revelations God has revealed to them for 2022. Many are saying there will be a shifting in the spirit and in the nations. The most prominent one of all is the favor of God is on you and He will restore back everything you loss. So why every year we hear the same thing? Are these prophecies real or merely cliches for each new year?

  Discernment comes into play when hearing the prophecies regarding the new year. According to Thessalonians 5:20-21 we are not to despise prophecy. " Do not despise prophecies but test everything; hold fast of what is good."  When you hear someone give the word from God, you should seek Him prayer concerning the word. Sometimes the prophecy might resonate with your spirit immediately; other times, you need confirmation from the Holy Spirit.

  Many people in the church are skeptical about modern-day prophets. Prophets are oftentimes presumed as "crazy" or "strange." The reason for this view is due to so many false prophets abusing the prophetic mantle. But the church must understand not every prophesy is inaccurate or false predictions. The prophetic voice is important, and the bible tells us why.

Ephesians 4:11 states, "And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers." In verse 12, it tells us the reason for the fivefold is for the "perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying for the body of Christ." The bible is clear why we need all five for the church today. This is why the prophetic voice is needed, including all the other offices.

So as we go into 2022, I want to share what the holy spirit has revealed to me. This is a year of shifting and God's favor. As I shared earlier, these are common sayings for the new year prophecies. However, this is a year for obedience to God's direction. Obedience is an important key in seeing the promises of God.

If you are looking for restoration, obey the voice of God. If you want to see the miraculous favor on your life, walk in obedience. And when you hear the prophetic voices speak about the coming new year, pay attention and test the spirit!

Years ago I went to a Benny Hinn gathering in Atlanta, Georgia. It was one of the most powerful experiences of my life. The presence of the Holy Spirit filled the atmosphere and miraculous healings occurred.  It was not Hinn who ushered in the spirit of God, but it was through the hearts of the people being on one accord.

The book of Acts talks about the day of Pentecost when the spirit of God came upon everyone.  The passage Acts 2:1 (KJV) demonstrates how unity is a pivotal factor when inviting the Holy Spirit in. It  says, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Verse 2 further describes how a sound like the rushing of mighty wind came in suddenly filling the room.  Whenever God’s people are all on one accord, the Holy Spirit will come.

We are now in the early days of 2022 and I am believing in unity among the body of Christ. Unison among God’s people will allow the  Holy Spirit to  fill our gatherings. But here is the  tricky part, there will only be a small portion of the body of Christ unified.

I remember in my early days of walking with Christ, I heard the Holy Spirit tell me there is a remnant inside the remnant. He told me I was part  of the second remnant. To break it down, Christians are the first  remnant. We are supposed to  be a light to the world. Then there is a remnant inside that group who are a bit more eccentric than the average Christian. It is a group who truly understands the power of unity. Are you part of this remnant? 

People who  go against the majority of what everyone else is doing, most likely  are members of the smaller remnant.  Many of them do not fit in with social gatherings, including church socials. And one definite characteristic is they tend to not work regular jobs.  God is calling this remnant to come together in one place, on one accord. It is time for us to see the miraculous healings and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on all.

I am encouraging the remnant to get on one accord. You will have to go outside the church walls and find those who are hungry for the Holy Spirit. When the people who  are hungry begin to cry out to God, then we hear the sudden sound from heaven . It will sound like a rushing of the mighty wind and filled the place. Thank you Holy Spirit!!!!!
